  St Paul's has joy-filled contemporary worship on Sunday mornings--a good quality worship band combined with Prayer Book liturgy, vestments, and candles. The preaching by both Fr Christopher Leighton and Fr Daniel Morgan is excellent--besides being biblically faithful, wise, and relevant, it's centered on Christ: what is He doing, and how can we get in on it?
  
  Theologically St Paul's is charismatic Evangelical, but holds to the Anglican distinctives of the Real Presence in the Eucharist and the Apostolic Succession. It's a great place to go to church. St Paul's has a long history of hands-on local outreach, especially through their 30-year partnership with Pivot Ministries. One of the distinctives of St Paul's is the youth of the congregation--there are lots of children and young families, as well as a couple of 90-year-olds, and *they all talk to each other*.
  .
  St Paul's welcomed us warmly when we joined a year or so ago, and we're very happy there. Y'all come!

  This church has been affected in the past with ministers who gave themselves to emotional, "spirit filled" ministry with drummers and electric guitars up front. I heard them preaching "prosperity", "you can't out give God" and other nonsense. Talking about speaking in tongues and other new age spiritism. They have a new minister who will hopefully be able to get past this and be practical, helping people instead of deluding them, stereotyping people, or pandering to them through money motives.

  I came on as Assistant Pastor at St. Paul's just a few month's ago, and my wife and I feel absolutely at home already. If you're looking for church where you can experience the love of God--among the people, during the worship, in the life of the community--then St. Paul's is the place for you. If you're looking a for church where you can walk out the same way as you walked in, then St. Paul's may not be your cup of tea. But come anyway, and see what God does. He is moving powerfully here, and you are always welcome!
